About Di: A BACP Registered Humanistic Therapist and Counsellor
“I believe that we’re all unique and that there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach to therapy.”
I am a compassionate, thoughtful, and deeply empathetic therapist who values understanding each individual as unique. My approach to therapy is not as a process of fixing, but as a collaborative journey to explore and make sense of each person’s struggles. I want to demonstrate a strong commitment by offering a safe, non-judgmental space where my counselling clients can be themselves, explore their feelings, and navigate challenges at their own pace.
My Focus
My focus is on warmth, honesty, and empathy to help prioritise building a trusting relationship with my therapeutic clients, ensuring that they feel heard and understood. Additionally, my experience working in oncology and as a trauma-informed therapist helps me to be attuned to the complexities of both physical illness and trauma, providing a more holistic, sensitive approach to those who may be facing these difficulties.
My Approach to Counselling
As a counsellor, I have an openness to working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of struggles which demonstrates my flexibility and commitment to meeting people where they are in their personal journeys. Whether it’s addressing major life challenges or simply offering support during times of uncertainty, I am dedicated to helping clients find meaning, purpose, and self-acceptance.
One of my values is personal connection and I aim to empower others to better understand themselves, which is a powerful foundation for the work you do.
